Global Process Owner: Close to Report Corning Incorporated
Dennis Sammons joined Corning Shared Services in 2005 as the
Manager of Corporate Accounting after over 20 years in the financial services
industry. In this role Dennis was
responsible for the consolidation of Corning published financial statements,
and the control structures around all related processes. In 2010 Dennis became the Business Controller
for all of finance at Corning Incorporated, where his primary role was the
support of the Chief Financial Officers Staff and Shared Services. While in this role Dennis was responsible for
preparing the business case for the implementation of Robotic Process
Automation in Corning Shared Services and presented the case to the CFO Staff.
In his current roll Dennis is responsible for the process
integrity for Close-to-Report in Corning Shared Services, and is responsible for the end to end
strategy for process design and delivery scope across the Corning Shared
Services enterprise globally. He also provides sponsorship and oversight of
process, policy, and technology changes, including robotics in this space. Dennis is a 1981 graduate of the University
